Etzacualiztli
In this "veintena" the grandfathers made a demonstration of sharing. Brotherhood woven into a yearly tradition is something ver beautiful, as it's a sample of the objective of this people and what they want their inhabitants to do. Tender Beans and Corn was prepared. Some adornments with tule were made. Tlaloc is honored and the tools for work are purified. A closeness to the tlaloques, small long nosed helpers of Tlaloc, is achieved by representing them in ceremonies. Some music is played, mainly the chicahuaztle that resembled thunder. In this "veintena" (month of twenty days) you can dedicate your time in understanding the link with nature and humankind is unbreakable, and to share with your loved ones what nature provides for us. Have fun and sing, remembering rain, as without rain all natural cycles are disturbed. Edition #1: Year Day 6-Calli. Month Eztacualiztli Day 3-Cipactly (Year 2005, June 20) |
